Nariyal Ki Chutney

Ingredients

1 cup grated nariyal/coconut
1 tablespoon roasted chana dal
salt – to taste
4-5 green chillies
1 inch ginger piece adrak
1 inch tamarind piece imli
1 tablespoon coriander leaves optional
For The Tempering:
1 tablespoon oil
¼ teaspoon urad dal
¼ teaspoon chana dal
¼ teaspoon mustard seeds
¼ teaspoon cumin seeds
3-4 dried red chillies
4-5 curry leaves

Directions

For The Chutney:
Take a blender, add grated coconut, add roasted chana dal, add green chillies.

Add salt, ginger piece, tamarind piece, coriander leaves.

Blend the mixture well.

Add little water and blend into a chutney paste.

For The Tadka:
Add oil and heat it.

Add urad dal, chana dal and saute.

Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds and stir.

Add dried red chillies, mix.

Add curry leaves and when they crackle transfer tha tadka into the chutney and mix.
