Yogi Tea
Ingredients
4 cups water
12 cloves (whole)
24 black peppercorns
2 sticks cinnamon
16 cardamom pods (split the pods first by gently squashing them with the side of a knife)
4 slices ginger (1/4″ thick, no need to peel)
1 teaspoon black tea leaves (regular or decaf)
2 cups milk of your choice (whole, almond, soy)
Directions
In your pot with 4 cups of water add whole cloves, black peppercorns, cinnamon sticks, cardamom pods, and ginger slices.
Bring to a boil then turn down heat and simmer for 20 – 30 minutes.
Add 1 tsp black tea and 2 cups milk.
Bring almost to a boil or until it just starts to froth.
Remove from heat and let sit 10 minutes. Strain through wired sieve.
It is now ready to drink. Add honey or sweetener of your choice to taste.
