Beginners Brisket
Ingredients
3-4 pounds chuck roast OR 3-4 pounds beef brisket
1 large white onions, chopped
1 cup ketchup
1 envelope dry onion soup mix
1/2 cup water
Directions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Use aluminum foil to line a walled roasting pan and coat with cooking spray or very lightly with olive oil.
Place the cut of meat in the pan, combine all ingredients together in a bowl and mix, and pour over beef.
Cover the roasting pan with aluminum foil and bake for 2 3/4 to 3 1/4 hours or when internal temperature reaches 165 to 170 F. Remove from oven and let rest covered for 10 minutes. Slice and enjoy with your favorite sauce and sides!
