Big Mike’s Best Nacho’s In the World
Ingredients
1 pound lean ground beef
1 large bag of nacho chips of your choice
16 ounces cheddar cheese (shredded)
16 ounce jar of chunky Pace Picante Sauce (mild, medium, or hot)
1 small jar of jalapeno pepper slices
Additional toppings (optional):
Jalapeno slices (jarred or fresh)
Green onions
Black olives
Chopped onions
Chopped tomatoes
Sour cream
Directions
Fry ground beef in a large skillet. Drain off any grease and return meat to skillet. Add jalapenos slices (as many as you like for your heat level). Add the jar of picante sauce to skillet. Simmer for 10 minutes until everything is incorporated and hot.
Line a cookie sheet with aluminum foil.**
Put a half of the bag of chips in the middle of the sheet. Spread out slightly but you want somewhat of a mound of chips. Spread half of the beef/sauce mixture on top of the chips, then sprinkle half of the cheese on top of that.
Add another layer of chips, followed by the meat/sauce mixture, and cheese.
Bake in a 350F oven for 15 minutes or until the cheese is melted. Add extra jalapenos on top & serve.
** Optionally you can use a greased 9×13 cake pan, layered and spread evenly in pan. Bake 20 minutes in a 350F oven.
