Easy Beef and Shells
Ingredients
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 pound lean ground beef
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
2 cups beef broth
8 ounces dried pasta shells
1 (15-ounce) can tomato sauce
8 ounces sharp white cheddar cheese, shredded
1/2 cup heavy cream or half-and-half
Directions
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat until it shimmers.
Add the ground beef and cook until browned and cooked through, for about 6-8 minutes.
Season with the salt, garlic powder, and onion powder and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
Stir in the beef broth, pasta shells, and tomato sauce.
Cover and cook until the shells are tender and the sauce has thickened slightly, for about 8-10 minutes.
Remove the skillet from the heat.
Add the cheddar cheese and the heavy cream and stir until the cheese has melted.
