Mongolian Beef Noodles
Ingredients
1 pound beef lean, ground
⅓ cup soy sauce
3 tablespoons brown sugar
2 teaspoons sesame oil toasted
2 cloves garlic minced
½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
3 pieces green onions roughly chopped
½ cup beef broth
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 tablespoon water cold
1 pound noodles dried, such as fettuccine
3 pieces scallions chopped for garnish
Sesame seeds for garnish, optional
Directions
In a large skillet over medium-high brown your ground beef and drain off any grease.
To the pan add your soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic, red pepper flakes, green onions and beef broth.
Let come up to a bubble.
Meanwhile boil your noodles according to box directions and drain.
Mix the cornstarch with the cold water and stir into the beef mixture.
Let bubble for a minute for the sauce to thicken.
Add your drained noodles to the meat mixture and toss to coat.
Garnish with more scallions and sesame seeds if you prefer.
Serve warm!
